Mode of Action

The pyrethroid component modulates voltage-gated sodium channels in insect nerve axons, keeping them open and causing repetitive firing, knockdown and paralysis. Thiamethoxam is a neonicotinoid that acts as an agonist at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR), causing continuous nerve stimulation, paralysis and death in sucking and chewing pests.
