Overview
Nutrixa Zinc - OS is a Zinc Oxide Suspension Concentrate at 39.5% from Vatrixa Crop Sciences — one of the most concentrated liquid zinc sources available, engineered for fast foliar correction of zinc deficiency, which is the single most widespread micronutrient deficiency across Indian cultivated soils.
Product Description
Micronised zinc oxide particles are held in a stabilised suspension so the product remains uniformly dispersed and readily solubilised once applied to the leaf. Because the concentration is high, a small dose delivers a substantial zinc load, making it efficient to transport, store and apply across large field areas via foliar spray or fertigation.
Technical Details
- Composition: Zinc Oxide, 39.5% w/w suspension concentrate
- Formulation: Suspension Concentrate (SC)
- Application: Foliar spray or fertigation/drip; use at the lower end of typical liquid-fertilizer dosing given the high concentration
- Compatibility: Compatible with most agrochemicals; jar-test before mixing with unfamiliar products
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place; shake well before use
Key Features & Benefits
- High concentration and application efficiency
- Supports disease and pest resistance through improved plant vigour
- Helps manage crop stress
- Enhances overall plant health
Mode of Action
Suspended zinc oxide particles are solubilised on contact with the moist leaf surface and absorbed through the cuticle and stomata. Zinc is a structural or catalytic cofactor for enzymes including carbonic anhydrase, alcohol dehydrogenase and RNA polymerase, and it is required for the synthesis of tryptophan, the direct precursor of the growth hormone auxin (IAA). Zinc-deficient plants show the classic symptoms of blocked auxin-driven cell elongation — shortened internodes, small ("little") leaves and stunted shoots — and foliar zinc oxide corrects these rapidly because it bypasses the soil, where zinc is easily fixed as insoluble compounds in alkaline conditions.
