Overview
Nutrixa - DAP is a liquid Ammonium Poly Phosphate fertilizer from Vatrixa Crop Sciences — a fully water-soluble, fertigation- and foliar-friendly liquid alternative to conventional granular DAP, which is prone to fixation and lockup in Indian soils, especially calcareous and high-pH types.
Product Description
Formulated by controlled ammoniation of phosphoric acid, Nutrixa DAP blends orthophosphate — immediately plant-available — with polyphosphate, which hydrolyses gradually in the soil to extend phosphorus supply over one to two weeks. This dual-phosphate structure also lets the product hold micronutrient cations in solution, reducing the fixation that limits granular phosphate fertilizers.
Technical Details
- Composition: Ammonium Poly Phosphate, nitrogen + phosphorus, ~70% polyphosphate / ~30% orthophosphate fraction
- Formulation: 100% water-soluble liquid
- Application: Foliar spray, drip/fertigation, or soil banding; suited to sowing/transplanting and early root-establishment stages
- Compatibility: Compatible with most acidic to neutral fertigation blends; avoid mixing directly with calcium- or high-pH products
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, away from freezing temperatures; shake well before use
Key Features & Benefits
- High solubility and nutrient availability
- Reduced nutrient lockup/fixation in the soil
- Enhanced root and early growth
- Superior solubility for fertigation systems, including drip
Mode of Action
The orthophosphate fraction is absorbed by roots immediately, fuelling ATP-driven cell division and energy transfer that drives early root growth. The polyphosphate fraction hydrolyses more slowly into plant-available orthophosphate over the following days, extending the supply window, and its chain structure sequesters zinc, iron and manganese in solution, keeping them from precipitating as insoluble phosphates or carbonates in alkaline soil — the main reason granular phosphate fertilizers underperform in high-pH conditions. The net effect is faster root establishment, reduced transplant shock, and phosphorus that stays available for longer than an equivalent dose of solid DAP.
