Overview

Vatrixa Spreader is a non-ionic wetting-cum-spreading adjuvant, not a nutrient or crop-protection product in itself — it is added in small quantity to any spray tank mix, whether a Nutrixa nutrient, a fungicide, an insecticide or a herbicide, to make that spray perform better on the leaf.

Product Description

Water alone tends to bead up and roll off the waxy, hairy leaf surfaces typical of crops like cotton, brinjal and citrus, wasting a large share of the applied product. Vatrixa Spreader is formulated to break that surface tension so the spray solution spreads into a continuous film and stays in contact with the leaf, increasing the effective coverage — and therefore the value — of every other input it is mixed with.

Mode of Action

As a non-ionic surfactant, Vatrixa Spreader lowers the surface tension of the spray solution. Instead of forming discrete droplets that bead up and run off a waxy cuticle, the treated solution flattens and spreads across the leaf into a thin, even film that holds in place rather than sliding off. This increases the leaf surface area actually in contact with the spray and improves penetration through fine leaf hairs and the waxy cuticle layer, directly increasing the fraction of any tank-mixed active ingredient or nutrient that is absorbed rather than lost to run-off — effectively raising the efficiency of every product it accompanies without adding any nutrient or active ingredient of its own.
