Mode of Action

The strobilurin (QoI) component inhibits mitochondrial respiration at the cytochrome bc1 complex, cutting off the fungal pathogen’s energy supply and halting spore germination and mycelial growth. Tricyclazole is a melanin-biosynthesis inhibitor that prevents the blast fungus from forming the appressorium it needs to physically penetrate the leaf surface, stopping infection before it starts.
