KATYAYANI TEMOS | TEMEPHOS 50% EC |CHEMICAL INSECTICIDE

Katyayani Temos (Temephos 50% EC) is an organophosphate larvicide used to control mosquito larvae and other arthropod vectors of human disease in open water and other breeding areas, including water with low organic content.

Targets:

• Mosquito larvae
• Cyclops spp. (vector of Guinea worm disease)
• Other nuisance insects

Treatment Area:

• Swamps, marshes, lakes, ponds, drainage ditches, and other mosquito breeding areas
• Not recommended for heavily polluted water with high organic content or dense vegetative cover

Mode of Action:

• Acts as a contact poison, dispersing through the water body and remaining effective for up to one week

Dosage & Application:

• 1.5–2 ml per litre of water; pour into the water while stirring to ensure even coverage; repeat as necessary

Safety:

• Recommended by WHO and NVBDCP for use in potable water
