Nutrixa Fe -12% is a fully chelated Iron EDTA fertilizer at 12% Fe from Vatrixa Crop Sciences — the standard, cost-effective chelate form for correcting iron chlorosis in neutral to mildly alkaline soils, which covers the majority of cultivated land in India outside the most calcareous tracts.

Product Description

Supplied as a 100% water-soluble powder, Nutrixa Fe-12% dissolves completely for foliar sprays, soil drenches or fertigation lines. EDTA chelation remains stable across roughly pH 4.0–7.0, which is why it is the most widely used iron chelate for general field use; for strongly alkaline soils above that range, an EDDHA-type chelate would be needed instead, but Fe-EDTA is the right, economical choice for most Indian growing conditions.

Mode of Action

The EDTA ligand wraps around the iron ion, keeping it in a soluble, plant-available form and preventing it from precipitating as insoluble iron oxide or hydroxide in the spray tank or in the soil. Once absorbed, iron acts as a catalytic cofactor in the enzymes of the chlorophyll-synthesis pathway and the photosynthetic electron-transport chain, so restoring iron supply directly restores chlorophyll production. This reverses the hallmark symptom of iron chlorosis — yellowing between the veins of the youngest leaves while the veins themselves stay green — typically within days of a foliar application, with a combined foliar-plus-soil programme giving the fastest, most complete recovery.
