Introduction

Rice blast was caused by Magnaporthe oryzae, it is a disease affecting rice worldwide causing significant yield losses and quality reduction. The disease spreads rapidly under humid and warm conditions, facilitated by wind and waterborne spores. 

Symptoms 

In initial stages in appears small, water-soaked lesions on rice leaves.
Later on the lesions rapidly enlarge and turn grayish-white or light brown.
Infected panicles will develop dark, sunken lesions, leading to grain sterility.

Contaf Fungicide is an excellent triazole fungicide containing Hexaconazole 5% EC. It is known for its protective, curative, and antisporulant properties, and offers prolonged disease control.  It forms a protective layer, treats existing infections, and prevents the spread of spores. When used as directed, Contaf Fungicide is considered safe for humans and animals. The recommended dosage is 2ml/lit of water.

Kasu B Fungicide formulated as Kasugamycin 3% SL, is a systemic bactericide and fungicide derived from Streptomyces kasugaensis fermentation. It effectively controls blast disease in rice and early blight in tomato crops by inhibiting bacterial protein biosynthesis, thereby limiting bacterial growth and reproduction. The recommended application rate is 400-600 ml per acre or 2-3 ml per liter of water. Kasu B demonstrates compatibility with most fungicides and insecticides, excluding highly alkaline products, ensuring flexible integration into agricultural pest management programs.
