It acts as a potent triazole fungicide with protective, curative, and antisporulant properties, ensuring extended control of fungal infections. By targeting the biosynthesis of sterols essential for fungal cell membranes through inhibition of 14α-demethylase, Contaf disrupts fungal growth and increases membrane permeability, ultimately leading to fungal cell death.
