Current Urea Supply Status

• The Telangana Government has stated that adequate urea stocks are being arranged for the ongoing Kharif season.
• The State has requested the Central Government to allocate the entire production of the Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) plant exclusively to Telangana to ensure uninterrupted availability during peak demand.
• The Union Government has also assured Telangana that sufficient urea supplies will be provided to meet the genuine requirements of farmers during the Kharif season.

Advisory for Farmers

• Purchase urea only according to the recommended crop stage and soil test recommendations.
• Avoid panic buying or stocking excess fertilizer.
• Apply urea when adequate soil moisture is available to improve nitrogen-use efficiency.
• Use split applications instead of applying the entire dose at once.
• Follow balanced fertilization by combining nitrogen with phosphorus, potash, sulfur, and micronutrients as recommended.

The Telangana Urea App helps farmers book urea easily using their mobile phones. The Telangana  Agriculture Department launched this app to ensure fair and transparent urea distribution across the state. Using the app, farmers can check district-wise urea availability and complete booking without standing in long queues.
