INTRODUCTION

Dosage

Application Method

• Apply Bardoc granules uniformly at 4 kg per acre.
• Broadcast the granules evenly over the field, preferably in standing paddy with 2–5 cm of water or on moist soil.
• For best results, apply when the field has adequate moisture to help the granules dissolve and distribute effectively.
• Avoid applying in dry fields without irrigation.
• In sugarcane, apply the granules around the base of the plants and lightly incorporate them into the soil, followed by irrigation if required.

Best Time to Apply

Paddy

• Apply 15–25 days after transplanting (DAT) or immediately after the first signs of stem borer or leaf folder infestation.
• Early application protects the crop during the active tillering stage, preventing dead hearts and ensuring better tiller development.
• If pest pressure remains high, follow local agricultural recommendations for subsequent pest management.

Sugarcane

• Apply during the early vegetative stage or when stem borer incidence is first observed.
• Early protection helps maintain healthy cane growth and reduces pest damage.

Precautions

• Apply only at the recommended dose of 4 kg per acre. Do not exceed the recommended rate.
• Ensure uniform broadcasting for effective pest control.
• Avoid application during heavy rainfall or when heavy rain is expected within 24 hours, as granules may be washed away.
• Do not apply in waterlogged fields with deep standing water.
• Wear gloves, a face mask, and protective clothing while handling the product.
• Wash hands, face, and exposed skin thoroughly after application.
• Keep the product away from children, livestock, food, feed, and drinking water sources.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Dispose of empty containers safely according to local regulations. Do not reuse them.
